It looks like editing our first draft is going to take almost as long as writing it, as Annie and I slowly work away on our printed manuscripts, finding issues, errors and changes we would like to make. There are nearly four hundred printed pages, double spaced for us to work on, and we are currently doing around twenty pages per week. We hope to increase this after New Years and really ramp things up so that we can get the second draft completed before our wedding in April.
I’m excited about the things we’ve already started to work on, and I’m looking forward to handing out a couple of copies of the unedited first draft in PDF form to people that have requested it, and eventually handing out the second draft to beta readers in the spring.
I never thought that editing would take up so much time/energy. Thankfully, I have a partner helping me through it, and we continue to work well together in all the things we do in Second Class Supers.
