About Me

I was born in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, and have moved around a ton in my life. First because my dad was in the military and then because I just couldn’t get settled.

At a young age, I realized I had a natural talent with technology and became very passionate about it. I went to St. Lawrence College for Computer Networking and Technical Support and then as I was searching for employment that I would enjoy, I fell into WordPress. At first as a writer and blog manager, then managing the technical needs of WordPress sites, and then leading teams of people managing the needs of WordPress powered websites. I’m currently working for Fueled as a Lead Project Manager for the Systems team.

If you would like to learn more about my employment journey, I usually keep my LinkedIn up to date: https://linkedin.com/in/malcolmperalty

We, as of November 2024, have successfully had a son thanks to Surrogacy after a long road of spending more than ten years trying to grow our family. We also have a dog Luna, a bernedoodle, that was born in 2018.

I collect a number of hobbies and interests and switch between them often. I love to write fiction, and Annie and I released a Kickstarter supported, self-published novel called Second Class Supers. I enjoy creating content and have written tens of thousands of articles online. I enjoy creating videos and have worked on a number of YouTube channels. My most recent endeavour was Future Unfolded. I love 3D printing, occasionally flying my drone, watching sci-fi and fantasy TV shows and movies with my wife, paint pouring, painting 3D miniatures, dabbling in programming, and I’m probably forgetting a few…

Overall, I like to think of myself as more than a typical Canadian geek.
