Movies of 2010

So, a few days more than a year ago, I wrote a post entitled, Movies I Want to Watch For the Rest of 2010, and in changing my theme, I’ve gone back to look over some of the nearly 300 posts I’ve written since starting this blog. I wanted go through and see how I ended up doing on my Movies of 2010 post.

The Karate Kid – Seen it, and it reminded me how much I miss a younger Jackie Chan.
Grown Ups – Got to watch this one as well, but didn’t really enjoy it.
Knight and Day – Seen it and thought it was pretty decent, despite having to deal with Ashton Kutcher and Katherine Heigl’s Killers around the same time.
Twilight: Eclipse – Yup but I’m glad the series is almost over.
The Last Airbender – Wish I could have my 90 minutes back from watching this one.
Predators – Still not as good as I know they can make a Predators movie be. Arnold still stars in the best of the trilogy.
The Sorcerer’s Apprentice – Had some good moments, but it was super Disney and cheesy.
Inception – Dream within a dream within a dream. It had some interesting concepts but put rules in place to ruin the potential.
Scott Pilgrim vs. the World – Love it, own it! You should all see it.
The Adjustment Bureau – Interesting idea, good execution, but ended up being a bit boring.
Beastly – Didn’t see it until 2011 on a “what haven’t I seen yet…” night. Was pretty crummy except for NPH!
Centurion – Nope, but I’ll fix that soon.
Despicable Me – Funny, but not great. Some enjoyable animated moments. “It’s so fluffy!”
Dinner for Schmucks – Awkward movie, weird pacing, not my type of humour.
The Eagle of the Ninth – The title was shortened to The Eagle, and it was pretty good, though it felt a little slow for the type of story I was expecting.
The Experiment – Messed up movie. I can’t believe it is based on real world events.
The Green Hornet – Kato was kick-ass and Seth Rogen has never looked better.
Gulliver’s Travels – Dumb but I saw it. I still love the Ted Danson version the best.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part One – Saw it as well, and it felt like half a movie. Awaiting the conclusion.
The Joneses – Nope, and for some reason, no plans to.
Megamind – I really enjoyed this animated super hero romp.
Mr. Nobody – Really strange movie, not really enjoyable though.
Tron: Legacy – It was good, but it didn’t “feel” amazing.
The Warlords – Ack, how have I not watched this yet!?

Seems like I got through most of the movies I was hoping to see, and probably lots more. Some of them I didn’t check out until the first half of 2011, but as excited as I probably was when I wrote the list, some of them just didn’t hold my attention, others I forgot about, and some I wish I could forget. This year is shaping up to be pretty darn amazing though.
