Driving By My High School Home

So today, on my way to Ottawa, I got off the 416 near Kemptville and drove to the home my parents bought when I was starting grade eight. It was my home for six years. I wanted to go and see if the area was as crappy as I remember, or if I was blowing things out of proportion because I was a teenager without a car.

Nope, Inkerman and the surrounding areas still are absolutely horrible. I don’t understand why anyone would want to live near there. It is endless farm land. I am so glad I no longer live there, and still don’t understand what the appeal ever was for that area.

I even drove out to where my High School was, North Dundas District High School, and it looks almost the same. Unlike when I went back to other schools of mine, North Dundas doesn’t seem like it has gotten any smaller, but I guess that’s partly because it was small to begin with, and by the time I left, I was as tall as I was going to get.

I’ve uploaded the few pictures I took to my Flickr account for you all to see. I didn’t stay long or take many pictures partly because it was cold out, and partly because there was nothing worth taking a picture of.
