So today, I received an e-mail from Brad, my co-worker at my old job with the following details.

Happy Birthday, we had cake even though you weren’t here!

Why did I leave again? The people in that photo have to be some of the most considerate, nicest, smartest, and friendliest people I’ve ever met in my life and this photo and the sentiment behind it are amazing. I owe a huge thank you to all of them, in part for what they did, and a more sarcastic “thank you” for making me tear up at work.
