Married for Two Months Today

While it isn’t a huge milestone by any stretch, I’m happy to say that the last two months flew by and Annie and I are settling into married life. The support that I’ve received from her in our relationship has been amazing, and she continues to provide me with amazing opportunities for happiness and comfort.

There are so many things happening in our lives right now that it feels like everything has been put on the back burner until we find our new daily system. While we are gone on our honeymoon, more renovations where we are living will happen, and when we get back, we will likely have new shower system (with the best shower head Annie could find online), a dishwasher and a full laundry set-up. I’m super excited about that, and I know Annie is too.

My mother-in-law has been staying with us this week, and it sometimes feels like she is just visiting a cottage as she awaits to return to Annie’s siblings place. I’m hopeful that when we get back from our honeymoon, that she will feel more like this is her home.

In the last two months, Annie and I have been really just focusing on work and socializing with her family. Many of us have been playing Lord of the Rings Online and enjoying working together on quests.

As summer approaches, another change will happen as Annie stays home during the day, or visits with friends and family. We should hopefully find more time for the projects and hobbies that we’ve put on the back burner since the winter as we moved, got married, I started a new job, and my mother-in-law went in the hospital, and then sold her house. It has been a crazy first half of 2014.

I am so happy that I met Annie, and that we were able to find common ground that led to us having the relationship we have today. Here’s to at least another 500 months!

  1. I don’t think you’re even 500 months old. I barely am. 😉 Congrats on the milestone. In about a month, TAV and I will have been married 6,000 days (but she probably doesn’t know that).
