Austin Powers Party

This past weekend, I was in Kingston to visit Mark, and attend the Foster family Austin Powers party. I had decided a few weeks ago that I was going to go as Number Three, better known as the Mole, played originally by Fred Savage. He was the only character that I felt I looked a little like.

I purchased a few materials, and some clothing, and was able to make a passable appearance at the party. Mark went as young Number Two and looked the part. The three of us on the bus looked hilarious and got some stares. His girlfriend in a sixties outfit, me with my hideous fake mole, and Mark wearing an eye patch.

It was a great evening. There were three Number Two’s, a Fook You, Foxy Cleopatra, Dr. Evil, Goldmember and more. Jamie took the costume win with her Foxy Cleopatra outfit.

We played some Twister, others played some beer pong, horse shoes, and we had BBQ, despite the insane heat. The waffles I brought from Vera’s Waffles went over well.

All in all, it was probably one of the best parties I have gone to in recent memory. A huge thanks goes out to the Foster family for having me, and Laura for inviting me.

And for all those wondering about pictures from the event, you’ll have to bug my cousin, Mark, as I didn’t bring my camera.

    • I don’t know about that. They can be a bit stressful if you don’t know the source material, or don’t feel confident you can make things work. I scrambled around on the day before I left for Kingston trying to find a way to make a mole… There were few, easy to find, directions on Google search on how to make one… oddly enough.
