So, someone asked me how my weight loss is going, and I had to hang my head a bit. I am still sitting in the mid-280’s. I thought I would be out of the 280’s by now, but during and after camping, I sort of hit a brick wall both physically and emotionally, and haven’t been eating as well as I should. I am hoping to get things back on track soon, but it seems that it is highly dependent on a number of factors.
My goal for August is to get out of the 280’s, and I am committed to making that happen. I haven’t been walking around much lately due to the crazy humidity and heat. I just don’t do well in hot weather. I have also been super busy with work, and a bit stressed over money and my failing camera. I definitely eat worse when I am stressed out.
The last issue with eating a different diet is just one of laziness. I hate washing dishes, and it is constant when you are cooking two or more meals a day. I don’t have a microwave and so everything is done on the stove or oven. I do use some paper plates here and there to reduce what I have to wash.
Here is hoping that August is a bit cooler, that I make more time to walk, and eat a bit better once again.
Just to reiterate for those that haven’t seen my previous posts, my weight loss goal isn’t one focused on a certain number, but instead getting back into a size 40 pants and an XL shirt. I can already wear XL shirts again, but they are a bit tight. I am probably a 44 in pants currently. By the end of August, I would like to be in a 42 pants, and not have the XL shirts be so tight.
It would be amazing to reach my goal by my birthday in November, and be able to maintain until at least my next birthday.
